Tomás O’Leary started at scrumhalf for Montpellier in their 25-38 defeat away to Castres. Tomás was lively throughout and box-kicked well, however it was not enough for Montpellier who are third in the league table after 17 games.
Pau recorded an impressive 20-10 victory against Toulouse away from home in the Top 14. James Coughlan came off the bench and into the back tow with 64 minutes gone. Pau closed out the game comfortably and now sit eighth in the league table.
Mark Flanagan clocked up 80 minutes in the second row for Saracens as they won away from home against Scarlets 32-17 in the Anglo Welsh Cup. Next up for Saracens in the competition is a home match against Leicester Tigers this coming Sunday.
Agen ran out comfortable 34-0 winners against Bourgoin in the PRO D2. Dave Ryan started at tighthead prop and his side never looked troubled throughout. Agen jump one spot to second in the table, two points behind leaders Oyonnax.
London Scottish lost out 14-26 to Yorkshire Carnegie in a very physical encounter in the Greene King IPA Championship. Peter Lydon played the full game at fullback and kicked two conversions, including one difficult one from the touchline. Danny Kenny appeared from the bench after 53 minutes, however Carnegie held out for a closely fought win.
On the injury front Eoghan Masterson continued his journey back to full fitness by lining out for Galwegians in the AIL, where they beat Banbridge 22-17.
Billy Dardis started at fullback for his own club, UCD, in a 17-3 win over Cork Con.
Leinster Rugby’s Rhys Ruddock and Fergus McFadden are closing in on full fitness and are almost ready for selection once again & Munster winger Darren Sweetnam is nearing full fitness too, as he looks to get back playing and regaining the fine form he has shown this season.
