Peter McCabe made his first start for Munster, however unfortunately had to be replaced late in the first half. Prop Brian Scott was introduced into the front row after 53 minutes and performed well for the duration of his time on the field. Darren O’Shea came off the bench to play out the last ten minutes of the match.
Mark Flanagan impressed in the second row for Saracens as he played 80 minutes of their 29-20 victory over Leicester in the Anglo Welsh Cup as they advance to the next round of the competition.
London Irish ran out convincing 60-14 winners over Nottingham as they continue their dominance of the Greene King IPA Championship. Second row Jerry Sexton appeared from the bench after 64 minutes as his side secured an eleventh bonus point win from fourteen league games.
Back rower Willie Ryan was named as a replacement as Ealing Trailfinders racked up a good win away from home away to Doncaster Knights. A 29-21 win has them fourth in the league but the gap to Doncaster in third has closed to five points.
Fullback Peter Lydon scored one try and kicked three penalties as London Scottish lost a nail-biting game 24-25 to Cornish Pirates in the Greene King IPA Championship. Danny Kenny played openside flanker for the Scots who have been overtaken by the Pirates so now sit sixth in the table.
