In an incredible test match in Melbourne on Saturday, Ireland leveled the series with Australia, as a number of Navy Blue Sports clients took to the field.

Andrew Conway, starting for his seventh cap, scored Ireland’s opening try. Unfortunately, he took a hit to his hip whilst scoring & was substituted 14 minutes in.

Garry Ringrose started in the 13 jersey & put in another strong display in attack & defence, whilst Jordi Murphy came on just before half time to see out the game. And Andrew Porter put in eight tackles in just ten minutes as he came off the bench on the 71st minute.

Irish Under 20s captain Caelan Doris put in another barn-storming performance against Japan as Ireland assured their attendance at next year’s competition with a 39-33 win. In a tight game, Ireland took an early lead, before the Japanese came back to within one point. However, a 76th minute try from a fantastic set move off the back of the scrum saw Caelan provide the pass for the winning score.

The young captain’s stock continues to rise as he was both the top tackler & top off-loader in the competition with a count of 74 & 13 respectively.

Another week & another award for top rugby referee Joy Neville as she was named as one of Ireland’s Top 25 Most Powerful Women at a ceremony in Dublin on Wednesday night.
