In the final weekend of the festive Interpro’s Leinster were full value for their 40-7 win over a young Ulster team. Andrew Porter’s try on the 40th minute secured the bonus point for Leinster and he had an impressive outing in particular at scrum time. Noel Reid played the full game providing lots of experience and class in the midfield. Ross Molony was a tower of strength in the second row for the 68 minutes he was on and James Tracy came on in the 50th minute to continue to add dynamism to the Leinster front row. It is always exciting to see Caelan Doris enter the pitch and he did so for the final quarter. Greg Jones & Nick Timoney were tireless for Ulster and both played the full 80 minutes but couldn’t halt Leinster’s momentum.
The Munster v Connacht game was an entertaining affair with all our guys showing well, where Munster took the spoils 31-24. Tom Daly in his first game for Connacht, was very exciting on the ball and made a super break with his first touch, he will continue to grow into this Connacht side with more training and game time. Darragh Leader and Matt Healy are two of Connacht’s most consistent players this season and continue to be assured in defence and provide plenty in attack. Up front Eoghan Masterson gave Connacht go forward ball all day. Andrew Conway played the full game at full back and showed how exciting he is with an inch of space. Dan Goggin scored a brace of tries in his 73 mins and was a handful for the Connacht defence.
Joy Neville had a great game in the middle for the earlier GuinnessPro14 game between Treviso and Glasgow, where Treviso had a great 20 – 17 win
