Dave Johnston & Ealing Trailfinders won the Championship Cup after a dramatic 23-17 victory over London Irish at Trailfinders Sports Club. Dave started at 13 and scored a crucial try in the second half.  Dave has been a great signing for Ealing playing either in the centre or at fullback. He has made a super impact in his first season.  Looking forward to what will come next season.

Ulster progress to the semi-final of the PRO14 against Glasgow after a hard-fought win against Connacht. Nick Timoney showed all his pace to score a vital try for Ulster in the first quarter of the game. Jordi Murphy produced a high energy performance that we have come to expect from him. Matt Healy as consistent as always for Connacht will already be looking ahead to next season to see how much more this squad can develop. Tom Daly came on in the final quarter to make a difference as Connacht chased the game .

It took a late penalty for Munster to secure their place in the Guinness PRO14 semi-final. Darren Sweetnam was a late call up to the squad and started the game and he never disappoints when given an opportunity. He showed real attacking intent throughout and was unlucky not to score a try. Similarly on the other wing Andrew Conway was hungry looking for work and provided some last ditch tackles to deny Benetton.

Duncan Williams was on the Cork Constitution side that won the All Ireland League on Sunday. He came off the bench early in the second half and scored a decisive try on the 58th minute. Throughout his 11 seasons as a professional he continued to stay in touch with the club where he was introduced to the game, so it was fitting that he should be involved in another wonderful celebration for the Cork club. Fiona Coghlan was co-commentator for the game that was live on RTE.

Arthur Lanigan-O’Keeffe was back competing at the UIPM World Cup 3 in Hungary. While Arthur will be disappointed with his final result he still finished in the Top 20 in the World & on the right track for continued improvements this season.
